Ishinomaki Food Adventure

A culinary adventure with a local guide, starting with a fishing experience on a fishing boat near the Oshika Peninsula, which is part of one of the world's three great fishing grounds. This is followed by a live culinary experience guided by a top local chef, who uses the harvested ingredients for a special lunch enjoyed in nature at Momonoura Village. The tour is 7 hours long. Participation is recommended for upper elementary school students and older for safety reasons related to boat boarding.

Plan Details: A culinary adventure together with a guide knowledgeable about local culture. The venue for the fishing experience is a port on the Oshika Peninsula near the offshore waters of Kinkasan, part of one of the world’s three great fishing grounds. Board a fishing boat alongside a fisherman for a fishing experience in the rich fishing grounds of Sanriku.
Then, a live culinary experience: Feast on a limited-time menu in the midst of nature, a cooking experience guided by a top local chef who knows the local seasonal produce inside and out. The chef will prepare dishes right before your eyes, using ingredients harvested that very day.
Enjoy this adventure to take in the nature and culinary abundance of the Oshika Peninsula.

-Please wear clothes which are easy and comfortable to move in. -Please bring along clothing suitable in the event of changes in weather (rain gear, cold weather gear, etc.)

-Tour subject to cancellation in the event that weather events pose an unreasonable safety risk, such as snow, typhoons, heavy rain, excessive heat (temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius), etc.

-Tour price varies depending on tour starting and ending locations chosen, etc.

-Participants will board a boat during the experience. For safety reasons, participation is recommended for upper elementary school students and older.

-Tour end time subject to change based on road and traffic conditions. In the event tour participants need to catch a train or flight at a specific time after the tour, please notify us of planned train and/or flight departure time in advance.
