A hands-on workshop at Kurikomaya where guests learn from an English-speaking owner how to make and enjoy freshly made taiyaki (fish-shaped sweets). Vegan and halal options are available, allowing those with dietary restrictions to participate. Due to limited space, participation is limited to 5 people at a time, though larger groups can be accommodated by running the experience multiple times.

Plan Details

At old-fashioned sweets shop Kurikomaya in the Muikamachi neighborhood of Kurihara City, learn from the shop owner how to make taiyaki sweets, then try your hand at making one yourself. One charm of this experience is conversing with the shop owner, who speaks English. Enjoy the retro atmosphere of the Muikamachi Shotengai shopping street, along with the flavor of this classic sweet beloved by the Japanese for generations.

Enjoy making taiyaki sweets alongside an English-speaking taiayki maker at his shop located in a retro shopping district. Vegan and halal options are available, so even those with dietary restrictions can participate with peace of mind.
