Mochi Pounding Experience

Experience mochi (rice cake) making using the traditional mallet and mortar, a tradition indispensable to Japanese holidays. After pounding the mochi rice, participants get to eat the freshly made mochi prepared in a manner unique to the local region. The experience lasts 60 minutes.

Plan Details

A tradition which has been carried on since the olden days, mochi is an indispensable element of Japanese holidays. This program is a mochi-making experience using a traditional mallet and mortar to pound the mochi rice. After pounding, participants can eat the mochi in a manner unique to the region.
